Lush Haul #2.

Hello everyone,

If you read my most recent post you'd know that I had a little shopping spree with two friends, if you haven't read it yet then click here to read about that. I spent probably more than I should have and splurged in Lush to get some Mothers Day goodies and some little treats for myself. So here's what I bought!

Some of these things are gifts and they're all new products for me as well which I find very exciting! My Lush box that's sitting in my room is overflowing now, like seriously I still have some Christmas bits in there.

I saw this bubble bar and instantly fell in love, I got this to be in my mum's pamper hamper but I couldn't help picking one up for myself as well. It's possibly the most adorable bubble bar I've ever seen and my favourite thing in the Mothers Day range!

My hair has been so dry lately and just in pretty bad condition so I was looking around for some treatments then found this little beauty. It's a hot oil treatment so you just pop the kettle on and slowly melt the block down, I'll be reviewing this product very soon as I actually washed the treatment out about an hour ago and my hair already feels softer so I think this will become a recurring thing.

When I knew that I was making my mum a little hamper I sneakily looked through Lush with her to see what she liked, the last time we went into the shop together I remember her pointing this bath bomb out and saying how she thought it was the cutest thing so this was a must have for one of her items! I'm not sure how she'll feel about the rosebuds floating around in the water so I chose one that isn't overloaded with them just in case, I think she'll find it more relaxing than anything so that shouldn't be an issue.

I only went to pick up one of these as I loved the look and smell of this bath bomb but I thought it would be a cute addition for mum as well so I doubled up on this and no my dilemma is choosing the cutest one to give away.

My friend had recommended this product to me before so I was on a mission to finally buy it and I can't wait to pop this into my bath!

When I had my very first look at the Mothers Day range on their website I just had to have this, I'm in love with the novelty side of it. Being a lover of tea and especially 'dunk bags' as I like to call them I just thought this was the cutest! I'm not much of a fan of things floating around in the bath with me so when the tea bag actually releases some petals then I may have to scoop them out but who knows.

Now this is the last little beauty that I picked up and I either wanted to buy this or another bubble bar but as soon as I smelt this product I loved it, I know that this will sneak into my top favourites as the scent is to die for! Sorry Intergalactic but the top spot that you're sitting at just might be stolen by this blackcurrant babe.

Hope you enjoyed looking at what I picked up in the bathing mothership, I know I'm thrilled by the things I chose!

Shopping Day.

Hello everyone,

First of all I just want to say oops for not blogging for over a week, life and other stuff just caught up with me and all my spare moments I needed them to have a chill out time, sorry. Anyway, now I'm back and hopefully won't take as long in between posts! But I did shop..a lot, so expect a Primark and Lush hauls to be up soon.

On Monday I had a day off work, hallelujah, and I fancied a little shopping trip so I invited my two friends with me, I was kind of stressing about them meeting as we're all seeing Adele together but they had never met. Thankfully the day couldn't have really gone any better, there weren't silence from either of them and we all genuinely had a laugh..my friend actually happy cried in the home ware section of Primark. Now they're meeting is out the way I'm so excited for the 15th of March, I knew they would like each other as my guy friend just gets treated as one of the girls (sorry!) so he isn't overly loaded with 'lad banter', and he likes a good pun which my other friend from work is loaded with..seriously every punny photo she sends me now lives in my camera roll, they're brilliant!

My main aim was to buy some Mothers Day pieces in Lush and start making a pamper hamper, for my mum, I ended up treating myself a lot as well so watch out for a fairly big Primark haul and a decent Lush haul. I had such a good day and some retail therapy with two of my favourites was exactly what I needed, on the way home we sang our hearts out to Adele and then ending the fun with some cuddles just made the day pretty perfect.

This post was pretty short and shitty but I felt the need to blog something before I get some real content back.

Sex Bomb | Lush Review #2.

Hello everyone,

A few weeks ago I posted a Lush haul, which you can see here, and one of the items I picked up was the Sex Bomb bath bomb. I finally got round to using this product so naturally I thought I would do a little review for all the Lush addicts and for the people who have just discovered the beauty of everything and want to know a bit more about certain products..or for the people who just love reading about everything Lush!

Sex Bomb is a bath bomb that looks so atheistically pleasing to me, I think this product is what romance would look like with its pinks and purples and a rose breaking through the top of the bomb.
The main ingredients in this product is Jasmine Absolute, Clary Sage Oil and Ylang Ylang Oil..these three factors are what creates your mood during bath time.

Jasmine is an ancient aphrodisiac, is used as a sensual perfume and also used in aromatherapy to relieve anxiety and stress.
Clary Sage Oil is calming, sensual and soothing.
Ylang Ylang Oil has a heady, sweet and floral scent and is often used in aromatherapy for its uplifting properties and combats stress.

I used this product for a night time bath, washing away all my stress and troubles of the day. Once I ran my bath I placed Sex Bomb into the water and it instantly started fizzing and working its magic, the scent filled the room pretty much straight away! When I finally got in the bath, with a good book, my body started unwinding. This bath bomb is the most relaxing one that I have tried from the range at Lush, the aromas are just a perfect blend and when this has finally dissolved, your water is left a very soft shade of pink so not being too bright just let me relax even more as I'm not staring at a garish colour!
The one bit I didn't like about this the flower at the top. This stays in your bath and turns into individual petals, which sounds and looked very cute but then one touched me! I'm probably being over dramatic but I hate certain textures and each time a petal floated into me I cringed a little bit, they just felt quite slimy to me and I can't physically be around things like that but that's literally just my own little downfall if anything, I quickly scooped them out then could get back my most relaxing bath ever.

Overall I would definitely repurchase this product, at £3.50 I think it's a good price, as it's the perfect way to unwind after a long day and get you settled down for a good nights sleep! To make a Sex Bomb bath even more relaxing pop on your favourite face mask, grab a book or play some music and you'll be relaxed in no time!

Collective Shopping Haul | Lush, Primark & Asda.

Hello everyone,

On Saturday my day off work synced up with my mum and we haven't had a good shopping day together in a while so we ceased the oppurtunity and took off to Lakeside, as soon as we got there everywhere was rammed, it was mental! After being ran into by a screaming kid and hearing parents screaming for their little ones we soon came out of our mental happy place meaning this was probably the quckest shopping spree of our lives. We still managed to pick a few bits and bobs up and seeing as I went out to repurchase some Lush bath bombs I think it was an overall success..rushed, but still a success.

LUSH.

First of all I went to Lush, which has become my favourite shop recently and I have a slight addiction going on. I went in there to repurchase Sex Bomb and Lover Lamp then I saw a bath bomb that I had wanted for a while and got sucked in! Apart from the items that I already mentioned in my Lush Haul #1 post, I don't want to get repetitive by showing the same things, this is what I got.

This bath bomb is something I've been looking at and wanting for a long time and finally I went and picked one up, usually I'll do the smell test with new products but this was a complete impulse as I'm obsessed with Elsa..so yes, I bought this purely for the name but thankfully I love the smell!

As I was walking away from the bath section I noticed the prettiest blend of colours in a bowl of water and obviously looked mesmerised as the lady just said this is what the Twilight bath bomb looks like, you can pick one up from there. I said thank you and chose what one to get, I always look for size and if there's any damage to the product as there was a few with cracks and missing chunks.

Now this is a repurchase for me as I love this little beauty! I'm a little bit of a space dork and any cosmic looking things fascinate me so this is my ideal bath time treat, when the nebula looking foam leaves your bath is a navy, glittering sky and I love it.

PRIMARK.

Next up is Primark, my mothership for clothing..apart from jeans because my thunder thighs just need a bit of stretch when it comes to denim and I haven't found the perfect ones in here yet. Just as a warning these two items have been squashed into a bag since I bought them so they're very creased, but me and an iron just don't go together. Plus I hated the photos showing the full item so the photos don't really show you the shape but I'll explain as they're quite normal pieces.

Harry Potter Jumper - £10
Now I'm aware that this jumper is for Gryffindors, which is not my house I'm a Slytherin if you're interested, and I never buy things away from my house but I couldn't walk away without this! This long sleeved jumper isn't really thick which I love, it's just slightly thicker than a t-shirt, but I just loved the Hogwarts logo which is an embroidered patch. I got this in a size 16 and never tried it on, it fits but it's not lose if that's the type of fitting you prefer I would get the next size up and it's quite fitted.

Night Shirt - £8
Night shirts are something that I really want to get into, espicially for spring/summer time as I'm always too hot for proper pyjamas and with this lightweight material it's the perfect soloution. While the weather is still colder I'd wear this with some knee high socks to add a bit of warmth on my legs, or if it's super cold then some leggings. For £8 I think this is a bargain and I'll defintley be going back to buying more! I chose this super cute, striped shirt with the word love stitched on to the pocket, all the designs were gorgeous and I wish I had picked up more when I was there.

ASDA.

Even though I still live with my parents I love looking at and buying homeware items! I'm 20 and would love to start looking out within the next couple of years max, as much as I love my family home I'm just at that point where I want my own space and the complete indepence that comes with renting a little apartment.

My main passion in life is photography, I studied the subject for 2 years in college and loved everything that I had learned! I saw this and just couldn't leave it on the shelf, I won't be using this as a money box however as on the base there's a little bit missing where the stopper goes but that doesn't bother me at all as I have a lot of money boxes only half full. Considering I went in there to get some bedding, they didn't have the design which I wanted, and stumbled across this little gem I am well and truly chuffed.

Hope you all enjoyed looking through my little collective shopping haul, keep your eyes peeled for a review of the Lush products that I got when I get round to using them!

Lush Haul #1.

Hello everyone,

Lush is my weakness lately, I just can't walk past the shop without being tempted to just 'look' at bath bombs then before I know it I've got a basket full with bits and bobs from all around the store. Luckily with this shop I resisted and only picked up five items, two of which are presents for a friend. All of the products today, apart from one, bath related products which are my favourite thing to by as I love a good soak with a Lush goodie!
Usually I would write a few sentences under each product to describe each product but I've never used these products before so I can't tell you how well they work in your bath and the vital things like that so expect a review coming up.

Hope you enjoyed looking at the few products I picked up, I cannot wait to use them. What's your favourite Lush product?
Until next time,
Shannon.
